Alam Medic Clinic - Centre of Excellence
To our highly valued clients and partners, Klinik Alam Medic had always been actively involved in medical education, research and public health programs besides the general practice work expected from a primary care practice. Through the years we had in collaboration with pharmaceutical companies embarked on a continuing medication education program for our doctors and nurses. We conducted many community based health education projects and health screening services free of charge to our patients. We surely hope that these programs would have benefited everyone; our patients, clients and also our own doctors and nurses.
Some of the projects completed to date (and some still on-going) are mentioned below:
- As part of our commitment to the community, we provide community based health awareness and health screening programs for our patients free of charge. This is possible with the help and collaboration of our business partners in the pharmaceutical industry. The programs included education, screening and management of asthma1, diabetes mellitus2, osteoporosis3 and dyslipidaemia4.
- We conduct regular continuing medical education programs for our doctors for continuing professional development. We had also started educational workshops for Human Resource Managers, Health Nurses and Safety Officers from our panel companies recently in our effort to inculcate a safer and healthier workforce in our community. Many of our doctors are currently doing post-graduate studies under the Academy of Family Physicians of Malaysia’s Vocational Training Program.
- We have done medical researches, epidemiological studies and also submitted case-report studies5 for publications in major medical journals. Some of our work in research are listed below:
